The Hurricane office of United Talent Staffing Services was recognized recently by the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce as its featured Business of the Month.
For more than four decades, United Talent Staffing has introduced companies to top talent at all skill levels, ranging from full-time to temporary and temp-to-hire positions.
Diana Becher, United Talent Staffing's Assistant Vice President/Executive Placement, said, "We are full service. When our clients call us, they tell us what they need, and we will do our best to provide them with that, whether it's industrial, assembly line, different types of manufacturing plants, all the way up to clerical positions, including accountants, paralegals, janitors - just about anything a client might need."
Becher said United Talent Staffing has adapted to a changing work environment and hiring climate over the years, as well.
"When the company started," she said, "it was primarily providing temporary work; that's what staffing services did back in the day.
"As things evolved, businesses got busier. Nowadays, they don't have time for placing an ad, paying for an ad and sorting through hundreds of resumes to find the right individuals.
"We are kind of a human resources extension arm for our clients. We do all of the recruiting, interviewing and placing. As our byline says, 'The Right People, Right Now,'" said Becher.
A self-described headhunter, Becher handles professional placement statewide for United Talent Staffing. Her Teays Valley officemates include Branch Manager Mary Gregory, Staffing Coordinator Sherri Crosslin and Receptionist and Administrative Assistant Joyce Gibson.
The Teays Valley United Talent Staffing office, Becher said, serves clients and applicants from Cross Lanes west to Huntington and Mason County.
